Universal 12V Car Electronic Relay Tester with LED Indicator
Features:
Quick go/no-go tester relay that indicates the general health and functioning of the most common automotive relays
Checks for proper functioning of the relay contacts by connecting the car battery (11V--15V) to the relay coil
Summary: Tests relay contacts, pin configuration, time to contact closure and opening, and consistency of the relay.
Indicates test results with green LED (pass) or red LED (fail)
How to Use:
Connect power leads to the car battery (black alligator clip to the negative terminal, red alligator clip to the positive terminal)
Tester is powered up when the LED illuminates in RED
Check the relay before plugging it into the tester and select the correct pin configuration (4-pin or 5-pin)
Plug the relay into one of the three receptacles
Press the "TEST" button
Tester will check the pin configuration, time to contact closure and opening, and consistency of the relay
Tester will light the GREEN LED if the test passed, or RED LED if failed
Disconnect power leads from the car battery and remove the relay from the tester

The car battery must be a 12V battery, and the voltage of the battery is between 11V-15V
Ideal for coil resistance above 20 ohms
